Epping Planning Portal: Applying for Planning Permission
The Epping Planning Portal is the official online system for submitting, managing, and tracking planning applications across Epping. Built to be straightforward and accessible, the portal enables applicants to upload required documents, monitor progress, and receive updates. Local residents can also use it to view proposals in their community and provide feedback during consultations.
To improve your chances of approval and ensure compliance with Epping Forest District Council’s environmental requirements, it is advisable to seek ecological advice early in the process. Collington Winter provides specialist consultancy to guide you through each stage of your application.
Using the Epping Planning Portal
Prepare your application – Gather all necessary information and documents, including:
- Completed application forms (available on the Epping Planning Portal)
- Accurate site location plans and elevation drawings
- Supporting documents such as design and access statements
- Ecological surveys, impact assessments, and mitigation strategies
Submit your application – Upload your documents through the portal. You will receive confirmation along with a unique application reference number for tracking.
Public consultation – Your application will be published on the public register. Residents and stakeholders can review the proposal and submit comments during the consultation period.
Application review – Planning officers will assess your submission against local planning policies and national guidelines. You may be asked to provide revisions or further information.
Decision – Applications are determined either by a planning officer or, for major projects, by a planning committee.
