Jane Winter: Landscape Architectural Director
Jane’s work is rooted in a thorough understanding of the importance and uniqueness of place. Jane works closely with her clients to create innovative, sustainable and inspirational landscapes.
Experienced in working in historic, farmed landscapes, Jane has been closely involved in a number of successful projects funded through Environmental Stewardship, and more recently Countryside Stewardship.
Jane’s knowledge and experience of managing the rural landscape to conserve and enhance its natural beauty and protect the historic environment is supplemented by an understanding of the need for working, rural landscapes to be financially viable. Jane has a keen eye for detail and a pragmatic approach to delivering projects on the ground.
Jane is experienced in landscape and visual impact assessment and works closely with her clients to ensure that impact assessments are an iterative part of the design process, with opportunities to strengthen and enhance existing landscape character used within any mitigation proposals, to ensure the development responds to and respects place.
Outside of work, Jane is a country girl at heart, with a passion for horses. Jane volunteers for British Eventing and most weekends can be found at horse trials around the country. Born and bred in Yorkshire, Jane is partial to a Fat Rascal from Betty’s tearoom, and loves cycling through the landscapes within which she works.
