Landscape Architecture and Design in Camden

Supporting Sustainable Development

Landscape design can play an important role in improving biodiversity and creating more resilient places. We can incorporate habitat creation, ecological considerations and Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) into appropriate projects, working alongside our wider ecological expertise.

Although Camden is predominantly urban, our landscape architecture services extend beyond traditional gardens and public spaces. We also work with landowners and rural clients on projects where landscape, ecology and land use need to be considered together.

Camden’s urban setting brings its own landscape challenges, from conservation areas and street tree constraints to limited space for new planting. We can help incorporate green infrastructure and sustainable drainage into development proposals, using planting, permeable surfaces and other features to manage water sustainably while improving the appearance and biodiversity value of a site.

Where a scheme is close to sensitive buildings, conservation areas or neighbouring properties, we can also advise on screening and visual mitigation, helping new development sit comfortably within its surroundings. Our team can support the preparation of planning applications and supporting landscape documents, including responding to landscape-related planning conditions where required.

Collington Winter is a Landscape Institute Registered Practice with more than 15 years’ experience. We bring together landscape architecture, planning and ecological expertise. Our team take a holistic approach to projects, considering how the landscape can support development while responding to its environmental and local context.
